Welcome to Introduction to Art: Two Year Program – where young creators take their first steps into a world of art, and self expression. Over two full years, your child will grow as an artist through a carefully guided program that introduces foundational art skills, tools, and vocabulary, and invites exploration across a variety of art media.

They’ll gain confidence through experimentation and creative decision making. Every step is designed to encourage bold choices and allow your child to learn from processes. This program is built on the belief that every child is an artist in progress: we nurture curiosity, celebrate risk taking, and guide students as they discover and develop new skills.

By the end of their second year in Introduction to Art, they’ll have the confidence to take on next level skills and knowledge in the 2 year Beginning Art curriculum.

We welcome students aged 5–6 years who are eager to explore their creativity—whether they’re just beginning their artistic journey or already love making art. This program is perfect for children who thrive with hands-on learning, enjoy experimenting with a variety of materials, and are excited to discover new ways to express themselves.

In this program, your child will explore a variety of art materials like clay, printmaking, charcoal, watercolor, painting, sculpture, collage, stained glass, and more. They’ll learn the basics of design, learn art vocabulary and dive into color theory.

Along the way, your child will build important skills like visual problem-solving, composition, and creative thinking. We also focus on helping them gain confidence using art tools and materials safely and effectively.

This curriculum sparks their creativity by inviting imaginative exploration and hands on making. Your child’s growth is celebrated through continuous improvement, acknowledging each milestone they achieve.

Most of our families drop off their child for class. Parents who choose to stay may wait in the waiting room area while class is in session.

Can I switch schedules?

Yes. Just contact your teacher to make the switch (provided there is available space).

Flexibility — Each student is encouraged to make up a missed class or attend an extra one when needed! Teachers will provide a list of available times when your student misses a class.
